CONGREGATION 9 March 2 p.m.¶ Members of Congregation are reminded that any two members may, not later than noon on Monday, 1 March, give notice in writing to the Registrar that they intend to oppose or amend the resolution below (see the note on the conduct of business in Congregation below). If no such notice has been given, and unless Council has declared otherwise, the resolution shall be carried, and the meeting may be cancelled. Voting on Resolution authorising use of space in the Rex Richards BuildingExplanatory NoteThe Doctoral Training Centre of the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division currently occupies space in the e-Science building, together with the Computing Laboratory and the Oxford e-Research Centre. The allocation of space in the Rex Richards Building to the Doctoral Training Centre will facilitate planned growth within all three departments. This allocation supersedes the resolution approved by Congregation on 14 October 2008 temporarily allocating a portion of the same space to the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology (Gazette, Vol. 139, p.193), alternative premises having been allocated to that department. Text of ResolutionThat the first and second floors of the Rex Richards Building (approximately 800 sq.m. net usable space) be allocated to the Doctoral Training Centre of the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division.
