Andrew Chamblin Memorial Concert

DAME GILLIAN WEIR will perform organ works by Bach, Buxtehude, Pachelbel, Schnizer, and de Grigny, at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday, 11 May, in Christ Church Cathedral. Admission is free and open to the public. Enquiries may be directed to hacmemorial@yahoo.co.uk.

New College

'An imaginary pilgrimage'

CONSORT IRIDIANA (all-female vocal ensemble) will perform music by Binchois, Josquin, Judenkonig, Gombert, and plainsong from the Poissy Antiphonal, at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, 17 March, in the chapel, New College. Tickets cost £10 (concessions £5).

Oriel College

THE ROCOCO PLAYERS will perform Marlowe's Edward II at 7.30 p.m. on 14, 15, 16, and 17 April, in Oriel College (founded by King Edward II in 1326). There will also be a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on 17 April. Tickets cost £25 (concessions £15). Proceeds are in aid of the Oriel Restoration Fund and Gloucester Cathedral.

Conferment and Reconferments of the Title of Visiting Professor

The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Physics on WILLIAM DORLAND, BS Texas, MA MPA PH.D Princeton, currently Director, Honors College, University of Maryland, for three years from 1 March 2010.

The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Board has reconferred the following titles of Visiting Professor for the periods indicated:
