Oxford University Newcomers' Club

The Oxford University Newcomers' Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Rd, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, graduate students and newly appointed academic members of the University. Situations Vacant

Security and Intelligence Studies Programme Coordinator at the University of Buckingham. The Centre for Security and Intelligence Studies, University of Buckingham, urgently needs someone to help coordinate its academic programmes at MA, MPhil and PhD levels (www.buckingham.ac.uk/international/bucsis/). The part-time post involves archiving students' written work, some general administration/form- filling and managing some developmental matters. Would suit graduate student with good administrative ability at any level, or someone, possibly retired, who might enjoy a few hours per week working with us. Obviously an interest in intelligence studies would be an advantage. The position would mostly be virtual but might require some attendance at the Centre from time to time. Would involve commitment of 40 hours per term for 3 terms in the first instance at rate of £25 per hour (to maximum of £1,000 per term). The Department of English and American Studies at Tel-Aviv University, Israel, invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track position in Victorian and/or Romantic British Literature with added specialisation in literary theory, effective from October 2010.
