Academic Programmer in Literature and Creative Writing (0.5 FTE)

The Academic Programmer in Literature and Creative Writing will administer the accredited, open access programme of weekly class courses in Oxford and the region and help to organise an annual programme of day schools in literature and linked day schools in creative writing. The role will also include providing administrative support to the Director of Studies in relation to the Undergraduate Foundation Certificate in English Literature. Depending on the qualifications and experience, there may also be opportunities for the appointee to teach weekly class courses in his or her subject area.

Applicants should have a good first degree in English literature and evidence of familiarity with the contemporary UK university scene in literary studies, including creative writing. The person appointed will also have higher-level administrative experience in an educational context, and be able to demonstrate the ability to act on his or her own initiative and to be part of a team.

The post is on the grade 7 scale (salary £28,983–£35,646 per annum, pro rata).
