CONSULTATIVE NOTICEReview of the Finance Division of the University Administration and ServicesAs part of the programme of regular reviews of administration, the Finance Division will be reviewed under the auspices of PRAC Budget Subcommittee. The review panel will be chaired by Mr Andrew Dilnot, Principal of St Hugh's College, and the work will be undertaken during Trinity and Michaelmas Terms. It is intended that a report will go to the Budget Subcommittee and to PRAC by the end of Michaelmas Term 2009. The Finance Division is headed by Mr Giles Kerr. It comprises six main areas of activity:

The Review Panel would particularly welcome views on the first of its terms of reference, namely interaction with divisions, departments, faculties and, as appropriate, with colleges. GENERAL NOTICESStatutes Approved By Her Majesty in CouncilMr Vice-Chancellor has received a communication from the Clerk of Her Majesty's Privy Council, stating that on 8 April 2009 Her Majesty was pleased to approve the Statutes amending (i) Statute VI; (ii) Statutes XV and IV; and (iii) Part D of Statute XVI (printed in Gazette, pp. 4–5 and 8–11, 25 September 2008, and approved by Congregation on 14 October 2008, p. 193). Appointment of Pro-ProctorThe Junior Proctor has nominated C.S. LEONARD, BA Minnesota, MA PH.D Indiana, MA Oxf as the second of his deputies for the current Proctorial Year. Dr Leonard was admitted to office by the Vice-Chancellor on 14 April. Oxford May MusicScience, music and the arts meet in creative harmonyNow in its second year, the Oxford May Music festival will be held from Wednesday, 29 April, to Monday, 4 May inclusive. The festival will include concerts from some of the leading musicians performing in the UK today, and expert lectures. Musicians taking part in the concerts include Katya Apekisheva, Julius Drake, the Fibonacci Sequence, Jack Liebeck, the Leopold String Trio, Gemma Rosefield, Yevgeny Sudbin, Ashley Wass, and Elizabeth Watts. Lectures will be given by Professor Peter Barham, Adrian Bradbury, Professor Peter Braude, Sir Jeremy Isaacs, Professor Denis Noble, and Professor Alan Wing. APPOINTMENTSConferments and Reconferment of the Title of Visiting ProfessorThe Medical Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Neuroradiology on D. PELZ, MD Ontario, LMCC, FRCPS, currently Professor in Diagnostic Radiology and Clinical Neurological Sciences, University of Western Ontario Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, for three years from 1 April 2009. The Medical Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Mammalian Genetics on J. PETERS, B.SC. Leeds, PH.D Lond, Programme Leader in the Mammalian Genetics Unit, Harwell, for two years from 1 July 2009. The Medical Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology on K. SPITZER, BA Colorado, MD Case Western Reserve, currently Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, for three years from 1 July 2009. The Humanities Board has reconferred the title of Visiting Professor of Music on PROFESSOR JEREMY YUDKIN, MA Camb, PH.D Stanford, Associate Professor, School of Music, College of Fine Arts, Boston University and Artistic Director, the Lenox Athenaeum, for Trinity Term 2009 and Trinity Term 2010.'
