St Antony's College
Sir Siegmund Warburg Fellowship
The Sir Siegmund Warburg Fellowship provides membership of St Antony's College and financial assistance to a candidate who will be carrying out research into the culture, politics or history of the modern world. The successful candidate will be of outstanding personal and intellectual qualities and his/her work will complement the international and interdisciplinary character of the college.
The fellowship is a one-year appointment, with a stipend of £27,000. As a Senior Member of St Antony's College, the fellow is entitled to use the college library and research centres, and is encouraged to play a full part in the college's academic and social life, as well as that of the University as a whole.
The fellow for the academical year 2009–10 will be elected early in 2009. Applications should include a brief covering letter to include a one-page summary of the proposed project, a brief curriculum vitae, a more detailed description of the proposed research which should not exceed five pages, an indication of the author's plans for the year, and the names and contact details of two referees. Note that doctoral students completing their theses will not normally be considered.
