Changes in Regulations

With the approval, where applicable, of the Education Committee of Council, and of the Humanities Board, the following changes in regulations made by the Oriental Studies Board will come into effect on 27 February.

Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies

(a) Honour School of Oriental Studies

With immediate effect

1 In Examination Regulations, 2008, p. 392, at the end of l. 34 insert:

'The Si-sa Elite, English–Korean and Korean–English Dictionary (Seoul: YBM Si- sa) is permitted and will be provided.'

2 Ibid., p. 399, at the end of l. 20 insert:

'The Si-sa Elite, English–Korean and Korean–English Dictionary (Seoul: YBM Si- sa) is permitted and will be provided.'

(b) M.St in Korean Studies

With immediate effect

1 Ibid., p. 641, at the end of l. 40 insert:

'Mathews' Chinese–English Dictionary (Cambridge, Mass: Harvard University Press) is permitted and will be provided.'

2 Ibid., at the end of l. 41 insert:

'A Japanese (kanji)-English character dictionary and a Japanese–English dictionary are permitted. Kenkyusha's new Japanese–English Dictionary (Tokyo: Kenkyusha) and either Nelson, Andrew Nathaniel, The Modern Reader's Japanese–English Character Dictionary (Rutland, Vt: Tuttle), or Haig, John H., The Compact Nelson Japanese–English Character Dictionary: based on the revised version of the Classic Edition by Andrew N. Nelson (Tokyo: Tuttle), will be provided.'
