CONGREGATION 10 March 2 p.m.Voting on Resolution authorising use of former site of Central Chemistry BuildingExplanatory NoteThe site of the former Central Chemistry building is proposed as the location for a new building for the Department of Earth Sciences. A purpose-built home will bring the Department together from various dispersed locations into a single building suited to the current needs of the Department's teaching and research activity. The site will provide a building of approximately 7,800 sq.m. (gross internal area). The Science Area Masterplan, which includes the site of the former Central Chemistry building, can be found on the University's Web site at www.admin.ox.ac.uk/estates/masterplans/masterplans.pdf. Text of ResolutionThat the former site of the Central Chemistry Building (plot C in the Science Area Masterplan documents) be allocated to the Department of Earth Sciences as a site for the construction of a new building.
