Bodossaki Graduate Scholarship in Science
Applications are invited for a Graduate Scholarship established by the Bodossaki Foundation in any field of science, including mathematics, engineering, and medicine (preference will be given to immunology, oncology and cardiovascular diseases).
Applicants should be Greek or Cypriot citizens under the age of thirty. They should normally have obtained a first-class degree from a British university or an equivalent Greek or other overseas qualification. The scholarship is tenable for a period of not more than three years from 1 October 2009. The successful applicant will be required to read for a higher degree of the University of Oxford. The emoluments, totalling up to £13,000 per annum, cover university and college fees and a grant for maintenance. Awards will be made primarily on the basis of academic merit. Financial need is also a very important factor of consideration for the award.
Further information, including application instructions, is available at www.spc.ox.ac.uk/text/70/vacancies.html or from Olivia Henley, Registrar, St Peter's College, Oxford OX1 2DL (telephone: Oxford (2)78864, e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org). The closing date for applications is 20 January. (Note that this is an earlier closing date than in previous years.)
