It has been at the heart of Oxford and the University for over 500 years. As part of our outreach programme, we offer a limited number of graduates and undergraduates the chance to shadow a member of staff or department for a period of time, ranging from a morning to a week. Interested? Contact Nick Fraser, Academic Deputy, on 01865 242191 or nfraser@mcsoxford.org.

Economy Lectures and Discussion

Transforming the Economy. Sat., 22 Nov. The School of Economic Science, Oxford, invites you to a free morning (8.45 am–12.30 pm) of lectures and discussion, with refreshments. At the root of current economic problems are fundamental errors in the way taxes are levied. Work, capital and enterprise are taxed heavily, whilst the surplus created by the community itself is left largely untaxed. How can this be corrected? Find out by spending a morning in pleasant surroundings in the Maison Française, 2–10 Norham Rd, Oxford, OX2 6SE. Lectures and discussion will be led by experienced speakers on taxation and economics. Admission by ticket only (limited numbers). Tickets and further information from: 01865 741116 or info@ses-oxford.org.uk.
