GENERAL NOTICESQueen's CollegeMusic for a summer's eveningTHE CHOIR OF QUEEN'S COLLEGE, directed by Owen Rees, will perform 'Music for a summer's evening'—choral songs by Elgar, and Britten's Flower Songs, at 7.30 p.m. on Saturday, 13 June, in Queen's College. St John's CollegeOpening of collection of medieval vestmentsSt John's College intends to open to the public its collection of medieval vestments on Saturday, 13 June, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The collection is displayed in the Garden Quadrangle and entrance, free of charge, will be via the Main Lodge.
APPOINTMENTSConferments of the Title of Visiting ProfessorThe Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Zoology on CHRISTOPHER DYE, BA D.PHIL Oxf, F.MED.SCI, Director of Health Information in the Office of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases, for three years from 1 June 2009. On the recommendation of the Oxford Internet Institute, the Social Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Internet Studies on PROFESSOR R.E. SUSSKIND, LL.B DIP.LEGAL PRAC. Glas, D.PHIL Oxf, for three years from 1 June 2009.
