Scholarships and Prizes 2008: Medieval and Modern Languages

Marjorie, Countess of Warwick Travelling Bursary

The Marjorie, Countess of Warwick Travelling Bursary will be awarded by the Moderators in the Preliminary Examination for Modern Languages in Trinity Term each year to the female candidate in that examination, or in any Preliminary Examination of which Modern Languages is a component in the same term, whose performance in French is judged to be the best.

The value of the prize is approximately £800.

The bursary is to be used to finance a programme of travel to France approved by the Modern Languages Faculty Board and should normally be taken up the following academic year. No special application is required.
