Heath Harrison Travelling Scholarships 2008–9The Board of Management for the Heath Harrison Travelling Scholarships gives notice that at least sixteen Junior Heath Harrison Travelling Scholarships will be awarded in Hilary Term 2009 to candidates judged by the board to be of sufficient merit. Scholarships will be awarded to students reading either Modern Languages or a Joint School with Modern Languages, for specific projects to be undertaken during Long Vacations or the Year Abroad. Applications for general Year Abroad funding are not likely to be successful. The maximum value of Scholarships is £1,200. Scholarships awarded in recent years have been typically between £500 and £1,000. Further information can be found on the Modern Languages Web site www.mod-langs.ox.ac.uk. To apply for a travelling scholarship please complete an application form, which can be downloaded from the Modern Languages Web site, and e-mail it to prizesandawards@mod-langs.ox.ac.uk or post to 'Prizes and Awards', Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages, 41 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JF. The deadline for applications is Friday of week eight of Michaelmas Term (Friday, 5 December 2008).
