Clinical Trial

The University is conducting a clinical trial to find out whether folic acid can prevent mood disorders in young people who may have inherited a tendency to develop them. You can help if 1) as a parent, you have lived with depression or bi-polar disorder (manic depression), have children between 14–24 and are interested in preventative measures for your children, or 2) you are aged 14–24 with a parent who has suffered from depression or mood swings (manic depression). The Oxford University Newcomers' Club at the University Club, 11 Mansfield Rd, OX1 3SZ, welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, graduate students and newly appointed academic members of the University.
