Appointment of Library Assistant

Harris Manchester College is a small, friendly college for mature students. The college seeks to appoint a library assistant to work thirty hours a week who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy college library, reporting to the Fellow Librarian. Key tasks will be assisting readers, shelving, fetching from the stacks and assisting with ordering, cataloguing and research enquiries. Experience desirable but full training will be given. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Salary will be on the grade 3 scale (£15,743–£18,702 per annum, pro rata). The college offers a contributory pension scheme, six weeks' holiday per year, and free meals when on duty.
