Changes in Regulations

With the approval, where applicable, of the Educational Policy and Standards Committee of Council, the following changes in regulations made by the Social Sciences Board and the Continuing Education Board will come into effect on 25 January.

1 Social Sciences Board

(a) M.St in Legal Research

With effect from 1 October 2008 (for first examination in 2009)

1 In Examination Regulations, 2007, p. 674, l. 28, after 'words).' insert:

'The thesis shall be wholly or substantially the result of work undertaken whilst registered for the degree of M.St in Legal Research.'.

(b) BCL and M.Juris

With effect from 1 October 2008 (for first examination in 2009)

1 Ibid., p. 961, l. 49, after 'Law.' insert:

'The dissertation shall be wholly or substantially the result of work undertaken whilst registered for the degree of Bachelor of Civil Law or Magister Juris.'

2 Ibid., p. 962, l. 37, after '8,000.' insert:

'The essays shall be wholly or substantially the result of work undertaken whilst registered for the degree of Batchelor of Civil Law or Magister Juris.'

2 Continuing Education Board

Council regulations for matriculation

With effect from 1 October 2008 (for first examination in 2010)

In Examination Regulations, 2007, p. 5, l. 10, After 'and who' insert 'is a student for the degree of M.St in International Human Rights Law, or who,'.
