APPOINTMENT

Conferment of the Title of Visiting Professor

The Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor in Numerical Optimisation upon PROFESSOR NICHOLAS GOULD, MA D.PHIL Oxf, Numerical Analysis Group, Computational Science and Engineering, Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, for three years from 1 May 2008.

Weldon Memorial Prize 2007

The Prize has been awarded to PROFESSOR BRIAN CHARLESWORTH, BA PH.D Camb, FRS, FRES, Head of the Institute of Evolutionary Biology, School of Biological Sciences, University of Edinburgh.
