CONGREGATION 9 October

Notice

The meeting of Congregation is cancelled. The sole business comprises questions to which no opposition has been notified and in respect of which no request for an adjournment has been received, and Mr Vice-Chancellor will accordingly declare the resolutions carried without a meeting under the provisions of Sect. 7 (1) of Statute IV (Supplement (1) to Gazette No. 4633, 9 October 2002, Vol. 133, p. 100).

1 Declaration of approval of Resolutions authorising expenditure from the Higher Studies Fund

(i) That the University be authorised to expend from that part of the Higher Studies Fund known as Bodleian Fund B the sum of £30k to allow it to catalogue the Opie Collection.

(ii) That the University be authorised to expend from that part of the Higher Studies Fund earmarked for Zoology the sum of £40k towards the costs of refurbishment of a greenhouse essential for experimental population biology research undertaken under the auspices of the Hope Professor of Zoology.

2 Declaration of approval of Resolution approving the conferment of Honorary Degree

That the conferment of the Degree of Master of Arts, honoris causa, upon MR ROGER WHITE be approved.
