CONSULTATIVE NOTICERevision of the University's Corporate PlanCouncil has established a steering group to co-ordinate the updating of the University of Oxford: Corporate Plan 2005–6 to 2009–10. The steering group has recommended to Council that the revised plan be called the 'University Strategic Plan'. The steering group, which includes members representing Council, the divisions and the colleges, expects a draft of the revised plan to be ready for wide consultation by mid to end Hilary Term 2008. Comments on the revised draft will be welcome from all parts of the collegiate University. The draft will be reworked in light of the responses received and presented to Council and Congregation by the end of Trinity Term 2008. Professor Gerzina will be a fellow of Balliol College. EDWARD A. FISHER, BA Harpur College, SUNY, MD New York, MPH North Carolina, PH.D MIT, The Leon H. Charney Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine, Professor of Medicine (Cardiology), Paediatrics, and Cell Biology; Director, Marc and Ruit Bell Vascular Biology and Disease Program; Director, Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, New York University School of Medicine; and Attending Physician, Departments of Medicine and Paediatrics, Bellevue and Tisch Hospitals, New York University Medical Center, USA, has been appointed to the visiting professorship for the academic year 2010–11. Professor Fisher will be a fellow of Balliol College.
