Rolleston Memorial Prize
Entries are invited for the Rolleston Memorial Prize. The prize will be awarded for original research in any of the biological sciences, including the biomedical sciences, and will normally be worth at least £1,200.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate significant achievement in research. All research submitted for consideration for the prize should have been undertaken by candidates after their matriculation.
Candidates should submit an entry form, together with a brief curriculum vitae and a summary of their research (to be no longer than five sides of A4). Oxford (2)70012; e-mail: Gary.Crocker@admin.ox.ac.uk). The entry form, a curriculum vitae, and summary of research should be sent to the secretary by Monday of 2nd week, Trinity Term.
Short-listed candidates will be asked to submit the full version of their written research.
The winner of the prize is normally announced towards the end of the calendar year.
To be eligible to enter, a candidate: (a) must either hold a BA or BM degree from the University of Oxford, or a BA or MB degree from the University of Cambridge, or have been admitted as a student for the degree of M.Litt, M.Sc or D.Phil at Oxford, or as a student for the degree of M.Litt, M.Sc, M.Phil, or Ph.D at Cambridge; (b) must not have exceeded a period of six years from attaining one or other of these qualifications, or from attaining the first of these qualifications if she or he has attained more than one; (c) must not have exceeded ten years from matriculation; (d) must not have been awarded the prize before.
