Biological Sciences
Violette and Samuel Glasstone Research Fellowships in ScienceViolette and Samuel Glasstone Research Fellowships, tenable for three years at the University of Oxford, may be held in the fields of Botany (Plant Sciences), Chemistry (Inorganic, Organic or Physical), Engineering, Mathematics, Metallurgy (Materials), and Physics. There is one fellowship for men and one fellowship for women, supported from the Glasstone Fund for Men and the Glasstone Fund for Women respectively. Salaries: Grade 7: Salary £26,666 -£32,796 p.a. (with effect 1 August 2007). Additional travel grants and research support grants are available. Applicants should have submitted for their doctorate by the time of taking up a fellowship (normally 1 October of the year in which the offer is made). There is no age limit but applicants should not normally have had more than five years of postdoctoral research experience. Further information is available from judith.brown@mpls.ox.ac.uk.
