APPOINTMENT

Directorship of the Oxford Learning Institute

Professor Graham Gibbs has announced his intention to retire with effect from 30 June 2007 from his post as Director of the Oxford Learning Institute. Pending the outcome of the current Educational Policy and Standards Committee review of the Learning Institute, Dr Stephen Goss has been appointed as Acting Director of the Institute for the period 1 October 2007 until 30 September 2008. the chairman of the Committee for the Council Departments, Dr David Walker, under whose aegis the Learning Institute falls, will cover the role of Acting Director during the period 1 July 2007 until 30 September 2007.
