COUNCIL OF THE UNIVERSITYChanges in RegulationsCouncil has made the following changes in regulations, to come into effect on 10 August. Regulations concerning investigation by the Proctors of complaints under section 22 of Statute IX1 In Council Regulations 6 of 2003, concerning the investigation by the Proctors of complaints under section 22 of Statute IX (Gazette, Vol. 134, p. 234, 30 October 2003, as amended on 14 July 2005 and 4 May 2006, Gazette, Vol. 135, p. 1270, Vol. 136, p. 990), delete existing regulation 42 and substitute: '42. When investigating a complaint about a taught-course examination, the Proctors will normally obtain information and/or comment from the chairman or other senior representative of the responsible academic body (such as board of examiners, faculty board, or graduate studies committee). Where appropriate they will also obtain information and/or comment from other individuals or officers responsible for the administration of the examination that is the subject of the complaint (e.g. Head of Examinations and Assessments).' [This change updates a reference to the 'Clerk of the Schools' to 'Head of Examinations and Assessments'.]
PLANNING AND RESOURCE ALLOCATION COMMITTEEChanges in RegulationsThe Planning and Resource Allocation Committee has made the following changes in regulations, to come into effect on 10 August. Allen and Overy Professorship of Corporate Law1 In Sect. III of Council Regulations 24 of 2002, concerning individual professorships (Statutes, 2000, pp. 450–1, as redesignated as regulations by Decree (5) of 11 July 2002, Gazette, Vol. 132, p. 1461), in § 176 delete paragraphs (6)–(8) of regulation 176.3 and substitute: '(6) a person appointed by the Social Sciences Board; and (7)–(9) three persons appointed by the Board of the Faculty of Law.' [These changes provide for a divisional appointee on the electoral board and three (rather than two) persons appointed by the Law Faculty Board.]
