Charity Exhibition

'Journeys Within' at the Perch in Binsey, 4 May–28 May. Opening evening (with free Cambodian buffet) at 7.30 p.m. on 4 May. Artists: 1.) Simon Larbalestier, photographer: the stunning images in this exhibition showcase his current project documenting life and chronic disability in Cambodia. 2.) Simon Foxall and Neil Allum: these young artists produce striking contemporary paintings depicting a technicolour fantasy world. Both have worked in Cambodia, and this experience inspires the paintings and drawings displayed in the exhibition. The exhibition is organised as part of a fundraising drive by the Travelaid Cambodia team. Travelaid is an Oxford student society that links potential volunteers with small NGOs around the world who are in need of extra help. The Cambodia team will be working for a month in Cambodia with 'Journeys Within Our Community' ( www.journeyswithinourcommunity.com), a non-profit organisation based just outside Siem Reap. This organisation aims to improve the living conditions of local people through health, education and community development projects. All money raised through the exhibition will go directly to the charity. The exhibition is free, but all donations are very gratefully received.
