Approval on a division of amendment to Legislative Proposal: Chair of Council

The amendment was approved on a division [For: 652; against: 507].

Under regulation 2.10(1) of Congregation Regulations 2 of 2002, there shall be further proceedings on the amended Legislative Proposal and any further amendments proposed by Council (under regulation 2.13 of Congregation Regulations 2 of 2002) at a second meeting of Congregation. The Vice-Chancellor has determined that this second meeting will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, 28 November 2006.

The amended Legislative Proposal and any amendments proposed by Council will be published in the Gazette on 23 November, together with a verbatim report of the meeting (which will also be published on the University Web site).
