Changes in RegulationsWith the approval of the Educational Policy and Standards Committee of Council, the following changes in regulations made by the Continuing Education Board and the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Board will come into effect on 29 December. Continuing Education Board and Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Divisional Board(a) M.Sc. in Mathematical FinanceWith effect from 1 January 2007 (for first examination in 2008)1 In Examination Regulations, 2006, p. 797, l. 1, delete 'six' and substitute 'seven'. 2 Ibid., l. 6, delete 'five' and substitute 'four'. 3 Ibid., delete ll. 10–24, and substitute: '(b) submission of four assignments, one on each of the core modules in Section A of the Schedule. These assignments will be assessed formatively and will not contribute towards the final award; (c) three assignments chosen from the advanced modules in Section B of the Schedule. Assignments should be of no more than ten pages of A4 in length (excluding tables, appendices, footnotes and bibliography); (d) a three-hour written examination, covering material relevant to modules 1 to 4 in Section A of the Schedule; (e) a dissertation of not more than fifty pages of A4 in length (excluding tables, appendices, footnotes and bibliography), on a subject selected by the candidate in consultation with the supervisor and approved by the Chairman of the Standing Committee.
