Gazette publication arrangements
Advertisers are asked to note that the remaining Gazettes of this academic year will be published on 22 June, 28 June, 12 July and 26 July. Publication for 2007–8 will begin on 20 September. The usual deadline will continue to apply (see above).
Changing costs of Gazette advertisements from Michaelmas Term 2007
Advertisers are asked to note that Gazette advertising prices will increase from Michaelmas Term. The Gazette's current prices have been maintained for a number of years, and need to be increased in response to rising costs. The discount of 25 per cent for placings of four or more insertions of one advertisement will continue.
Changing costs of Blueprint display advertisements from Michaelmas Term 2007
Oxford Blueprint, the University's newsletter, is distributed with the Gazette, and is also circulated separately throughout the University. It is available free of charge to all academic and administrative staff of the University. Ten issues of Blueprint are published annually. Advertisers are asked to note that from Michaelmas Term onwards, Blueprint advertising prices will increase, and that advertisements in full colour can be accepted. Oxford University Newcomers' Club
The Club welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, graduates and members of the University who are new to Oxford. It aims to offer help, advice and information, and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held at 13 Norham Gardens every Wednesday 10.30 a.m.–12 noon except for two weeks at Christmas and Easter. Newcomers with children (0–4 years) meet every Friday in term 10.15 a.m.–12 noon. Other term-time activities include a Book Group, informal Conversation Group and tours to colleges, museums, and other places of interest, also country walks, garden trips and a visit to an antique centre.
