Scholarships and Prizes 2006:
ZAHAROFF FUND TRAVEL GRANTS 20067Applications are invited from graduate students working for Oxford postgraduate degrees and diplomas (other than graduate students under the Board of the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages) to assist with the cost of travel in connection with French studies. Grants when awarded are not normally of a value of more than £250 each and support work in such fields as French art, archaeology, history, literature, and sociology. The fact that the study proposed is to be in France will not in itself qualify it as a branch of French studies. Account may be taken of any other possible sources of financial support available to applicants.
Applications, which should be submitted on a form obtainable from the Administrator's Assistant (Miss Samantha Valentine), Faculty of Medieval and Modern Language, 41 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JF, or from the faculty Web site www.mod-langs.ox.ac.uk should be returned by Friday of the third week of Hilary Term (Friday 2 February 2007).
The Graduate Studies Committee of the faculty board refers graduate students under the Modern Languages Board to the arrangements for travel grants administered.
