Scholarships and Prizes 2006:
FACULTY OF THEOLOGY GRADUATE STUDENTSHIPS 2007The Board of the Faculty of Theology proposes to offer a limited number of graduate studentships, tenable from Michaelmas Term 2007. Studentships may be tenable with a studentship at a college. The amount of the awards will be decided by the Theology Studentships' Committee.
Applications are invited from graduates reading for higher degrees under the Board of the Faculty of Theology. Applicants for admission to the status either of Probationer Research Student (this includes M.St. Research) or Registered Master of Philosophy Student from Michaelmas Term 2006 are also eligible to apply. New admissions, and those who already hold either Probationer Research Student (MSt research included) or Registered Master of Philosophy Student status should submit the following materials to Mrs E.A. Macallister, Humanities Division, 34 St Giles', Oxford OX1 3LH, to arrive not later than Monday, 8 January 2007:
(i) A description of the research that the candidate intends to pursue for the degree of D.Phil.
(ii) Two academic references in sealed envelopes.
(iii) A full academic curriculum vitae.
(iv) A sample of scholarly writing not exceeding 5,000 words in length.
Applicants should indicate whether, if they were offered a studentship in conjunction with a studentship at a college, they would be free to become a member of that college.
