Scholarships and Prizes 2006:
L.J. WITTS PRIZE IN HAEMATOLOGY OR GASTROENTEROLOGY AND THE SIDNEY TRUELOVE PRIZE IN HAEMATOLOGY 2006-7These prizes, to the value of around £200, are offered annually (provided that candidates of sufficient merit present themselves) for essays related to diseases either of the blood or of the gastro-intestinal tract. The prizes are open to clinical students working in Oxford for the Second Examination for the Degree of Bachelor of Medicine. No person may be awarded the prize more than once.
Intending candidates should submit the title of their proposed essay, together with a brief statement (10-20 lines) of how they envisage treating the subject, for approval by the judges. The request for approval should be submitted to the Medical School Offices, John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford OX3 9DU, under a nom de plume by 17 November 2006. The closing date for the submission of the essay is Monday, 5 March 2007.
