Oxford University Newcomers' Club
The Club welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, graduates and members of the University who are new to Oxford. It aims to offer help, advice and information, and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held at 13 Norham Gardens every Wednesday 10.30 a.m.–12 noon except for two weeks at Christmas and Easter. Newcomers with children (0–4 years) meet every Friday in term 10.15 a.m.–12 noon. Scanner Operator (part-time, fixed term contract). A reliable person is needed for digital scanning of manuscript material in the Archive of the Griffith Institute. The work will be carried out under supervision but scanning experience is essential.
