GENERAL NOTICE

Queen's College

Concert

The Choir of Queen's College, and the Queen's Consort (director: Owen Rees), will perform Handel's Dixit Dominus, and Scarlatti's Stabat Mater, at 8.15 p.m. on Thursday, 2 March, in Queen's College.

Admission will be by programme at the door, costing £12 (£8 concessions, £6 students). To reserve a programme, e-mail: rosemary.rey@queens.ox.ac.uk.

APPOINTMENTS

Professorship of Pharmacology

ANTONY GALIONE, MA (MA, PH.D. Cambridge), Fellow of New College and Professor of Pharmacology, has been appointed to the statutory Professorship of Pharmacology. He took up his duties on 1 January 2006.

Professor Galione will be a fellow of Lady Margaret Hall.

Medical Sciences Board

Conferment of the title of Visiting Professor

The Medical Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor of Histopathology on PROFESSOR NICHOLAS WRIGHT, MA (MB, BS Durham, MD, PH.D., D.SC., Newcastle upon Tyne), currently Warden, Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, for a period of three years from 1 February 2006.

The Medical Sciences Board has conferred the title of Visiting Professor of Tropical and Infectious Diseases on DR TUMANI CORRAH (MD Leningrad, PH.D. Open), currently Unit Director and Chairman, MRC Laboratories, Banjul, for a period of three years from 1 February 2006.

Reconferment of the title of Visiting Professor

The Medical Sciences Board has reconferred the title of Visiting Professor of Clinical Biochemistry on DR CHRISTOPHER PRICE (B.SC. London, PH.D. Birmingham, MA Cambridge), Vice-President, Outcomes Research, Bayer Healthcare, for a period of five years from 1 February 2006.
