Appointment of Visiting Student Coordinator/Stipendiary Lecturer in English

St Edmund Hall seeks to appoint to the above post with effect from 1 April 2006. The duties are primarily the organisation of the college's Visiting Students in English and up to twelve hours' tuition per week in English Literature to visiting students and undergraduates. Applications are welcome from candidates specialising in medieval literature, who are capable of teaching at least two of the following: Old English language and literature; Middle English language and literature; the history, use and theory of the English language. Experience in administration, and an ability to teach in one or more of the following additional areas would be advantages: twentieth-century literature; American literature; women's writing; critical theory.
