GENERAL NOTICES

Curators of the University Libraries

Consultation on library estates developments

As stated in the reports published by the Curators in the Gazettes of 24 June and 22 September 2005, consultation groups have been established in connection with the development of proposals for future library provision on the Central Bodleian site, the Radcliffe Infirmary site and the Radcliffe Science and Hooke Libraries site. The composition of the groups reflects actual or potential subject provision through these sites, and representation has been arranged through divisional offices. The groups are of necessity large (and relevant OULS staff will increase their size), so it is intended that, although there should be plenary sessions from time to time, the groups would primarily function as e-mail lists. Where meetings are required, consideration will be given to whether the business can be conducted in smaller focus groups, subject to report to the full group. For instance, the Curators of the University Libraries have already agreed that there should be a subgroup of the Central Bodleian group to look at Special Collections. There is substantial overlap between the Central Bodleian and the Radcliffe Infirmary groups. Subject representatives on the Central Bodleian ([1]) and Radcliffe Infirmary ([2]) groups are as follows.
