Notice

The meeting of Congregation is cancelled. The sole business comprises questions to which no opposition has been notified and in respect of which no request for an adjournment has been received, and Mr Vice-Chancellor will accordingly declare the resolutions carried and the changes in Congregation Regulations approved without a meeting under the provisions of Sect. 7 (1) of Statute IV (Supplement (1) to Gazette No. 4633, 9 October 2002, Vol. 133, p. 100).

CONGREGATION 15 March 12 noon

Admission of Proctors and Assessor

A Congregation will be held on Wednesday, 15 March 2006, in Convocation House for the purposes of admitting to office S.J. GOSS, MA, D.PHIL., Fellow of Wadham College, and S.L. MAPSTONE, MA, D.PHIL ,. Fellow of St Hilda's College, as Proctors for the ensuing year, and C.C.L. ANDREYEV, MA, D.PHIL. (PH.D. Cambridge), Student of Christ Church, as Assessor for the ensuing year.

CONGREGATION 21 March 2 p.m.

Members of Congregation are reminded that written notice of any intention to vote against, or any proposed amendment to, the resolution below, signed by at least two members of Congregation, must be given to the Registrar by noon on Monday, 13 March (see the note on the conduct of business in Congregation at the end of 'University Agenda').

Voting on Resolutions authorising expenditure from the Higher Studies Fund

(i) That the University be authorised to expend from that part of the Higher Studies Fund earmarked for Social Studies the sum of £75k to provide research support to the newly appointed Professor of Social Policy over a period of two years.

(ii) That the University be authorised to expend from that part of the Higher Studies Fund earmarked for Social Studies the sum of £3k to cover the cost of travel for research purposes for the newly appointed Barnett Professor of Social Policy.
