Scholarships and Prizes 2005:
Miscellaneous and Multidisciplinary
Applications are invited for the Pirie-Reid Scholarship, tenable at the University of Oxford, from graduates (including persons expecting to graduate in 2006) in any field, who wish to commence studying at Oxford in October 2006 for a degree or diploma.
Preference will be given to candidates who have lived in or been educated in Scotland who are applying from other universities (i.e. are not already matriculated at Oxford).
The scholarship, which is to be awarded to someone wishing to begin a course of study in Oxford who would otherwise be prevented by lack of funds, will cover university and college fees, normally at `home student' rates and provide a grant for maintenance, subject to assessment of other sources of income. Partial awards may also be made. Application forms for the Pirie-Reid Scholarship are available from the Student Funding and International Office Web site at http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/io. Further information may be obtained by e-mail from Mrs C.L. Rushworth (e-mail: email@example.com) or by writing to Mrs C.L. Rushworth, Student Funding and International Office, University Offices, Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JD.
