GRANTS FROM THE CHRISTINA DRAKE FUND FOR ITALIAN STUDIES

Applications are invited for grants from the Christina Drake Fund for Italian Studies. Those eligible to apply are students working for a research degree or diploma of the University in the field of Italian Studies (with a preference for students of language and literature). The grants which are made from the fund are to assist the students concerned `in connection with visits to Italy for purposes of their study or research, in the hope that the cultural benefits they derive from such a visit may thereby be enhanced'. Grants awarded in recent years have been typically between £100 and £500.

Applications, which should be submitted on a form obtainable from the Secretary of the Taylor Institution, 41 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JF, should be returned to the Secretary by Friday of the third week of Hilary Term. (The committee for the award of grants, however, is empowered to consider applications received at other times of year.)
