Oxford University Newcomers' ClubThe Club welcomes the wives, husbands and partners of visiting scholars, graduates and members of the University who are new to Oxford. It aims to offer help, advice and information, and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held at 13 Norham Gardens every Wednesday 10.30 a.m.12 noon except for two weeks at Christmas and Easter. Newcomers with children (04 years) meet every Friday in term 10.15 a.m.12 noon. Other term-time activities include a Book Group, informal Conversation Group and tours to colleges, museums, and other places of interest, also country walks, garden trips and a visit to an antique centre. Lindemann Trust Fellowship Awards to the United States 2006Pure and Applied Physical Sciences. Applications are invited from graduates to carry out research at institutions in the USA. Fields of research will include Astronomy, Biophysics, Chemistry, Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, Mathematics and Physics. Candidacy is open to UK and Commonwealth citizens who graduated from a UK university before 1 Sept. 2004. Plant Power Festival 2005Explore the University of Oxford Botanic Garden, the world of plants and how we use them at this year's series of festival days. St Cross College seeks to recruit a part-time IT officer (10 hours p.w.,
times to be negotiated). Duties include configuration and administration of the college's staff
and computer room machines on the college file server in conjunction with OUCS,
