CHANGES IN REGULATIONS

With the approval of the Educational Policy and Standards Committee of Council, and, where applicable, of the Social Sciences Board, the following changes in regulations made by the Continuing Education Board and the Board of the Faculty of Management will come into effect on 25 March.

1 Continuing Education Board

Undergraduate Diploma in British Archaeology

With effect from October 2006 (for first examination in 2007)

1 In Examination Regulations, 2004, p. 1059, ll. 35–6, delete 'at two one-week summer schools in Oxford (normally in July/August)' and substitute 'each year at either a training excavation'.

2 Ibid., l. 40, delete 'Two summer school assignments' and substitute 'Two training excavation assignments which combined shall not exceed 2,000–2,500 words in length or equivalent weekend school assignments'.

2 Board of the Faculty of Management

(a) M.Sc. in Management Research

With immediate effect

In Examination Regulations, 2004, p. 803, ll. 15–19, delete 'Candidates who fail any part of the Research Methodology assessment may resubmit or resit the failed assessment only once by noon on Friday of Week 8 of the following term. Candidates who fail one of the written parts of the examination other than the dissertation may enter again for that part in September of the same year.' and substitute:

'Candidates who fail any part of the Research Methodology and Core Course assessment may resubmit, or resit the failed assessment only once by noon on Friday of Week 10 of Trinity Term. Candidates who fail one of the written parts of the examination other than the dissertation may enter again for that part in the following academic year.'

(b) M.Sc. in Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management

With immediate effect

In Examination Regulations, 2004, p. 798, ll. 36–8, delete 'Candidates who fail any part of the Research Methodology assessment may resubmit, or resit, the failed assessment only once by noon on Friday of Week 8 of the following term.' and substitute:

'Candidates who fail any part of the Research Methodology and Core Course assessment may resubmit, or resit the failed assessment only once by noon on Friday of Week 10 of Trinity Term.'
