COULSON PROFESSORSHIP OF THEORETICAL CHEMISTRYApplications are invited for the above post, tenable from 1 October 2005, or such later date as may be arranged. A non-stipendiary fellowship at University College is attached to the professorship. The Coulson Professorship of Theoretical Chemistry is held in the Sub-department of Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, within the unified Department of Chemistry at Oxford, one of the largest chemistry departments in the western world. The University seeks to appoint a person with an international reputation in research in theoretical chemistry, broadly interpreted. The new professor will need to ensure the continuing pursuit of excellence in teaching and research in theoretical and/or computational chemistry at Oxford and its wide recognition outside.
