COUNCIL OF THE UNIVERSITY

Council Resolution of 12 July 2004

Council has resolved that the Vice-Chancellor's Convocation habit shall be a black silk gown with a form of gold and black lace sewn on the collar and the sleeves.

SCIENCE AREA PARKING, 14--16 SEPTEMBER

The University is hosting the 2004 Universities UK Conference. As a result there will be no staff parking available in the area in front of the University Museum, around the Radcliffe Science and Hooke Libraries, and around Earth Sciences (approximately forty spaces in total) from 14 September to 16 September inclusive.

Alternative parking facilities may be available. Members of staff who usually park in this area and who will require parking on those three days are asked to contact Mr E. Wigzell, University Surveyor's Office (e-mail: edward.wigzell@survey.ox.ac.uk) for further information.

SAID MBA PRIZE

This prize is awarded annually to a full-time MBA student at the Saïd Business School who is judged to have excelled academically and to have made an exceptional contribution in the classroom, and to have contributed greatly to the wider social and intellectual life of the school. The award will be made on the recommendation of a committee comprising the Peter Moores Dean of the Saïd Business School, the MBA Director, the Chairman of MBA examiners, and one other person nominated by the Peter Moores Dean. The value of the award will be £10,000. The award will be made annually at the end of course ceremony in September.
