Oxford University Newcomers' Club

The Club welcomes the wives, husbands, and partners of visiting scholars, graduates and members of the University who are new to Oxford. It aims to offer help, advice and information, and the opportunity to meet others socially. Informal coffee mornings are held at 13 Norham Gardens every Wednesday in term, also on the Wednesday before term starts, the Wednesday after the end of term and during the summer holidays. Newcomers with children (0- 4 years) meet every Friday in term from 10-15 a.m. to 12 midday. Other term time activities include a Book Group, informal Conversation Group, and tours to colleges, museums, and other places of interest, also country walks and garden trips. Secondhand items can be bought on Wed. mornings 10.30 a.m. to 12 midday from the equipment room---open all year except for 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter. Visit our Web site:
