Scholarships and Prizes 2003: Mathematics, Computation, and Statistics

RICHARD BIRD PRIZE IN COMPUTER SCIENCE 2004

A prize of value £200 will be awarded in October 2004, if there is a candidate of sufficient merit. Candidates must be M.Sc. students admitted not later than the preceding Michaelmas Term. The prize may be awarded to candidates who present dissertations on any subject of computing or program construction.

The Richard Bird Prize will be awarded for the dissertation that best presents a piece of software, an algorithm, or a mathematical theory pertaining to program construction. If dissertations of sufficient merit are not submitted, the award may be withheld.
