Scholarships and Prizes 2003: Theology
THEOLOGY GRADUATE STUDENTSHIPS 2004--5Acting in conjunction with the Hall-Houghton Trustees, the Grinfield Trustees and the Trustees of the Denyer and Johnson Studentship, and the University's Graduate Studentship Scheme, the Board of the Faculty of Theology proposes to award a limited number of fully-funded, three- year graduate studentships, and one or more partially- funded studentships for up to three years, to be tenable from Michaelmas Term 2004. Fully-funded studentships will cover College and University fees, provide a maintenance grant, and may be tenable with a studentship at a college. The value of the partially-funded scholarships will be determined by the Theology Board.
Under the terms of the various trusts, it is likely that at least one studentship will be awarded in the field of the New Testament, and at least one studentship will be awarded in the field of the Septuagint (including its relevance for the study of the New Testament).
Applications are invited from graduates reading for higher degrees under the Board of the Faculty of Theology, and from applicants for admission to the status either of Probationer Research Student or Registered Master of Philosophy Student from Michaelmas Term 2004.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 14 February 2004. Further details may be obtained from Mrs E. Macallister, 34 St Giles', Oxford OX1 3LH.
