ISAIAH BERLIN FUND BURSARIES

Applications are invited for Isaiah Berlin Fund Bursaries which will be tenable during the Long Vacation of 2003 or the academic year 2003–4. Those eligible to apply are students working for a research degree of the University in the fields of Italian literature and history, including the history of art. The bursaries will be awarded to assist holders with the costs of short visits to Italy for purposes of study and research in relevant Italian subjects in furtherance of their theses. They will be of a value of not more than £600 each, but applicants should be aware that the total sum available will only be in the region of £800.

Applications, which should be submitted on a form obtainable from the Secretary, Taylor Institution, 37 Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JF, should be returned to him by Friday, 2 May 2003.
