Stipendiary Lecturership in Classics

Oriel College proposes to appoint a full-time lecturer in Classics for one year from October 2002. The person appointed will be required to teach nine hours a week and to assume full responsibility for organising the teaching of Classics in the college.

The person appointed will be a member of the senior common room and will be entitled to free lunches and dinners at the common table and to a teaching room in college. The stipend will be £14,000 together with NI and USS. Assistance with the entertainment of undergraduates will be provided.

Appointment of Adviser to Women Students

Applications are invited for the post of Adviser to Women Students from 1 October 2002. The college intends to make an appointment for one year in the first instance. Applicants should be engaged in academic study. The successful candidate will have full membership of the senior common room, free accommodation in college, and free meals, together with a stipend and an entertainment allowance.

Applicants should write to Mrs Yvonne Scott, Academic Registrar, not later than Wednesday, 22 May, enclosing a curriculum vitae (eight copies) and the names of two referees.
