READERSHIP IN RECENT SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC HISTORY

ROBERT C. ALLEN (BA Carleton College, MA, PH.D. Harvard), Professor of Economics, University of British Columbia, has been elected to the readership with effect from 1 January 2001.

Dr Allen will be a fellow of Nuffield College.
