HEBDOMADAL COUNCIL

1 Decree

Council has made the following decree, to come into effect on 4 August.

Decree (1): Withdrawal, for new entrants, of courses at Westminster College validated by the University

Explanatory note

Following the merger of Westminster College with Oxford Brookes University, the arrangements under which Oxford University has validated many of the courses offered by Westminster College will cease for all students admitted on or after 1 April 2000. For students already on course, who were admitted to read for an Oxford University qualification, the University will continue to validate the relevant courses. The following decree deletes the provisions made in Examination Decrees for the former Westminster courses and substitutes a transitional provision to govern the arrangements for those who will continue to work for this University's qualifications. It also amends the provisions governing the examinations for these courses.
