Decree (1): Removal of anomalies

Explanatory note

The following decree removes anomalies and makes consequential amendments to existing decrees which have been overlooked in recent legislation.

Text of Decree (1)

1 In Ch. II, Sect. II, § 10, cl. 5, concerning the Telecommunications Committee (Statutes, 1997, p. 238), delete `shall appoint' and substitute `may appoint'.

2 Ibid., in both places in which the words occur, delete `the subcommittee' and substitute `such a subcommittee'.

[Cll. 1 and 2 make the appointment by the Telecommunications Committee of a Technical Subcommittee optional rather than mandatory. In recent years the advisory work previously undertaken by such a committee has been devolved to small working groups and to professional consultants.]

3 In Examination Decrees, 1998, p. 1102, l. 24, p. 1103, ll. 34 and 39-40, p. 1105, ll. 22, 31, and 43, p. 1106, l. 13, and p. 1112, l. 6, in each case delete `cl. 14' and substitute `cl. 15'.

4 Ibid., p. 1111, ll. 39 and 45, and p. 1112, ll. 4 and 7, in each case delete `§ 5' and substitute `§ 6'.

5 Ibid., p. 1111, l. 47, delete `§ 7' and substitute `§ 8'.
