Malaria Vaccine Study: Volunteers sought

Would you be willing to assist with studies aimed at developing a vaccine for malaria? Healthy male volunteers are required for a study of a new type of potential malaria vaccine. Each volunteer will receive three vaccinations with the vaccine over a 6-week period at the Churchill Hospital. You should be healthy, male, aged 18–45 years, without any previous adverse reaction to a vaccination and should not have travelled extensively in malarious countries. All local travelling expenses, time spent on the study, and any discomfort from blood sampling or vaccination will be fully reimbursed. Exhibition in aid of the Oxford Lifeboat Appeal

Exhibition of paintings from the collection of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution: at the Town Hall, Oxford, 2–8 July (except 4 July), open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. Part of progamme of events to publicise Oxford's efforts to raise the funds to buy a new lifeboat for Whitstable in Kent by the end of this year. Paintings from this collection are only occasionally available for public viewing and have never before been seen in Oxford. Admission free, but donations welcomed for the Oxford Lifeboat Appeal.
